I Can Go !

December is finally here, how fast the first half of the school year has gone by.
This is a new month in the curriculum "The Tod Squad Can Go", the color is Green, the puppet is a Dog, and the theme has to do with transportation. We are enjoying making cars zoom across the floor, building the rubbery trucks, and putting the cars together that will make noise when put together right.
Mrs. Moreno, Ms. Mika and Miss Abuk are hoping that everyone has a safe Holiday Break! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

What's going around??

This week we have had alot of our kids out sick. We hope everyone returns by Monday with a clean bill of health. We are still taking every possible measure to keep our room germ free. These toddlers are still exploring with their mouths on EVERYTHING and they are all still getting in new teeth. The teething process includes low grade temps (under 101.0), clear runny noses, and lots of drooling. We also have many with allergies which have many of the same symptoms as teething.
REMINDER: As the weather is getting cooler we will still go outside to play, so please send a jacket with your child to school.
WE STILL NEED FAMILY PICTURES!!!!!!!
Scholastic Book Fair is coming next week, so if you can sign up to work.

We are excited to say we have a new student in class, he came from the Infant house.
HELLO, Quinn!

Second month theme

We are starting a new theme this month it is "I can pretend," the color is Orange, the shape is still a circle, and the puppet is a cat. We will be encouraging the kids to use their imaginations. The kids will also be talking about the leaves changing colors and the weather getting colder. If you could talk to your kids about the color of the leaves and the cool wind, we would love for you to see how much your kids are understanding.
We are encouraging the kids to use sign language and their words everyday. We are seeing some that are remembering to use both more. This is helping communication in our class.

Settling In

We are starting our 4th week of the color Red and the shape circle. The children are settling into our routine and adjusting well. For example: when they see us get out the rug they know it is line time and to sit on it to sing. We sing the same songs every day in the order. They also know that when we come in from outside to go wash their hands.

WE WOULD LIKE TO REMIND YOU THAT WE STILL NEED OUR FAMILY PICTURES!!!!!
